Smart Warehousing Logistics

industrial PC for smart warehousing

As the intelligent warehousing and logistics industry accelerates its transition to unmanned operation, industrial computers are becoming the invisible hub that supports automated sorting systems, AGV navigation control and real-time inventory management. Have you ever thought that those stacker control terminals that can operate continuously in sub-zero low temperature environment or edge computing nodes that can accurately process millions of SKU data even under high frequency vibration rely on specially designed industrial-grade hardware? We have been in the field of industrial control for more than 10 years, and have provided customized solutions for 30+ large-scale logistics centers around the world. From impact-resistant die-cast aluminum alloy shells to embedded motherboards that support 5G redundant networks, every detail has been tested for 2,000 hours in harsh environments.

Taking the Asian hub warehouse of an international logistics giant as an example, the industrial control solution we built for it perfectly solves three pain points: the fanless and wide-temperature design of the main control unit realizes 24/7 uninterrupted operation in the dusty conveyor belt area; the AGV scheduling system from six different vendors is connected through the OPC UA protocol, and the response speed is always stabilized at the millisecond level; and the M12 military-grade interfaces are specially added to allow the industrial control unit to remain reliably connected in the vibration environment where forklifts frequently pass through. The military-grade interface allows the ICPC to maintain a reliable connection in the vibration environment where forklifts frequently pass through. These seemingly ordinary technical parameters, in actual operation, means a reduction of 83 hours of unscheduled downtime per year – converted into the order processing volume of the peak season of e-commerce, equivalent to the issuance of an additional 17 containers of goods.

Our engineers have recently completed an interesting project: an industrial computer designed for cold chain warehousing will actively trigger a preheating compensation mechanism when starting up a cold storage at -30°C. This feature sounds simple, but actually requires 18 special treatments on the motherboard wiring. It is this in-depth understanding of extreme scenarios that allows us to provide our customers with a full range of solutions, from anti-condensation coatings to shock-resistant SSD bays. The next time you see a logistics robot smoothly avoiding an obstacle, don’t forget that it could be running our custom-developed real-time path planning algorithms.
